The department requires a contractor to re-commission, repair and install solar street lights, associated electrical cabling and security fencing at atlantis special economic zone (zone 1), cape town. The scope includes replacing damaged low-voltage copper cabling and earth conductors, reinstating cable tray infrastructure and perimeter fencing, performing solar battery diagnostics and re-commissioning, and issuing a supplementary electrical certificate of compliance. The single most consequential bidder consideration is the 80/20 preference points evaluation, where price accounts for 80 points and b-bbee status level for 20 points; a bidder without b-bbee status level contributor status will lose the contract despite a lower price.
