Bidders must ensure compliance with their tax obligations. Bidders are required to submit their unique personal identification number (PIN) issued by SARS to enable the organ of state to verify the taxpayer’s profile and tax status. Bidders must submit a valid B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs & QSEs). Penalty for late/non-delivery: KZNSB may deduct sum for delayed goods/unperformed services or terminate contract in part or whole. Payments due to creditors settled within 30 days of invoice receipt unless contract states otherwise. No prepayments unless required by contractual arrangements; discounts for early payments accepted. Successful bidder must fill in and sign written contract form (SBD 7).

Tax compliance: bidders must submit TCS PIN (or CSD number if no PIN). Each party in consortia/JV/sub-contractors must submit separate TCS certificate/PIN/CSD number. No bids from persons in service of the state, companies with directors in service of state, or close corporations with members in service of state.
