• Scope: Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a heavy-duty motorised sliding gate, plus 60 four-button remote controls at ATNS FAPE.
• Key tasks: Remove and dispose of existing gate and track (provide disposal certificate); supply, deliver, and install new gate system; fit with smart gate industrial motor or equivalent; install heavy-duty galvanised track and rollers; commission, test, and integrate with existing access control; provide user training and manuals.
• Technical requirements: Gate must be heavy-duty, galvanised and powder-coated, sized to match existing opening; motor capable of handling up to 3,500 kg; industrial-grade track and rollers; infrared safety beams, manual override, remote control functionality; compatible with site electrical supply and coastal conditions.
• Warranty: Minimum 24 months on motor, gate structure, and workmanship.
• Compliance: Must meet SANS standards for gate automation and electrical safety, ATNS site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements, and all applicable OHS regulations.

• Submit two client reference letters for completed gate installation projects within the past 7 years.
• Qualified Welder and Electrician certificates (NQF Level 4 or equivalent) are mandatory.
• Higher qualifications in electrical engineering (diploma, degree, etc.) are accepted with SAQA evaluation for foreign credentials.

• The service provider must commission the system, test functionality, and provide user training.
• Qualified personnel (welder and electrician) with certified qualifications are required.
• Installation must comply with SANS standards and ATNS requirements.

• Use SBD 3.3 Pricing Schedule (Professional Services) to detail all costs, including removal, gate supply, track, motor, safety features, and 60 remotes.
• All line items must be completed and priced; failure results in non-responsive bid.
• Price must include VAT and be valid for 60 days.

• Submit a fully completed and signed SBD 3.3 Pricing Schedule (Professional Services). All line items must be priced; incomplete pricing renders the bid non-responsive.
• Pricing must include all costs: removal and disposal of old gate, supply and installation of new gate, track, motor, safety features, and 60 remotes. Include VAT (15%).
• Bid price must be valid for 60 days from closing date.
• Any budget amounts in the document are guides only; bidders must submit fair and reasonable costing.
• Proof of CSD registration (or application) is required; bids without this will be deemed non-responsive.

• Tax compliance: Submit SARS PIN (valid for 60 days) or printed TCS certificate. For consortia/JVs, each party must submit separate proof.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD): Registration is mandatory. Submit proof of registration or application with bid. No contract awarded without CSD registration.
• B-BBEE: Submit valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs/QSEs) to qualify for preference points.
