• Bids will be opened in public.

Disqualification risks:

• Late submissions.
• Submissions by email or fax.
• Bid documents not completed in accordance with the terms and conditions stated on them.
• Failure to attend the compulsory briefing session.

• Physical copies: R200 non-refundable fee, collected from the Tenders Department from 21 August 2026 at 10H00.

Completed original bid documents must be placed in a sealed A4 envelope clearly marked with the bid number and tender name and deposited in Tender Box 2 at the ground-floor reception of CTICC 1, No. 1 Lower Long Street, Convention Square, Foreshore, Cape Town, by 12H00 on Monday, 07 September 2026. Late, emailed or faxed submissions will not be accepted.

Scoring mechanism: 80/20 system.

• Price: 80 points.
• B-BBEE Status: 15 points.
• Locality: 5 points.

Functionality: Bids are first assessed on functionality criteria set out in the tender document. The minimum qualifying score for functionality is 70 out of 100. Bids that do not meet this threshold do not proceed to the price/preference stage.

Award: The CTICC is not bound to accept the lowest-priced bid or the bid scoring the highest number of points, and reserves the right to accept any part of a proposal, withdraw, re-advertise or reject any submission.

Scope: provision of pest control services to the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The tender is open to suitably qualified, experienced and registered companies. Detailed scope, deliverables, service levels and treatment specifications are set out in the full tender document, which must be obtained to assess technical fit.

• Document fee: R200 non-refundable for physical copies of the tender document; electronic copies are free.
• No pricing format, bond, guarantee or insurance requirements are stated in the tender advert; refer to the full tender document for pricing schedule and any financial capacity thresholds.

• Suitably qualified, experienced and registered companies only.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is required prior to the adjudication date for the bid to be responsive.
• Registration on the CTICC supplier database is not a prerequisite to bid but is recommended.
• B-BBEE status is scored under the 80/20 preference points system (15 points allocated to B-BBEE status).
• Locality contributes 5 points to the preference score.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session on 31 August 2026 is mandatory.

The CTICC reserves the right to withdraw any proposal or invitation, re-advertise, reject any submission, or accept any part of a submission. The CTICC does not bind itself to accepting the lowest bid or to awarding a contract to the bidder scoring the highest number of points.

Bidders not yet on the CTICC Database or the Central Supplier Database may still submit, but must be registered on the CSD before the adjudication date for the offer to be responsive.

Evaluation follows the 80/20 preference points system: 80 points for price, 15 points for B-BBEE status, and 5 points for locality. Bids are first screened on functionality; the minimum qualifying score is 70 out of 100. The CTICC is not obliged to accept the lowest or highest-scoring bid and may accept part of any proposal, withdraw the invitation, re-advertise or reject submissions.
