Ezemvelo KZN wildlife requires the supply and delivery of laboratory instruments — a thermoreactor tr420 spectroquant, a portable 3-channel multi-meter hq4300, cuvette racks, water-resistant stopwatches, a floc tester jar test unit and analytical weighing balances — to the midmar water care office at the midmar dam nature reserve, howick, together with a fixed-price 3-year service plan covering maintenance, calibration and service parts. Quotations close on 09 november 2026 at 11:00 and must be emailed as a single pdf to [email protected] With the RFQ number in the subject line. The single most consequential requirement is the mandatory manufacturer or distributor sales authorization letter from the oem or an authorised distributor; without a valid letter the bid is non-responsive. Evaluation follows the 80/20 preference point system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals verified from the bidder's csd report.
Closing and submission: 09 November 2026 at 11:00. Email only to [email protected], in PDF, as a single email (compress to one zip file if large), with RFQ 18/10/2026 in the subject line. Late bids, other formats, other addresses or more than one email are disqualified.
No compulsory briefing or site visit: briefing requirements and mandatory requirements are recorded as N/A, so no attendance register applies.
CSD and tax: registration on the Central Supplier Database is mandatory at the closing time and unregistered bidders are disqualified. Submit a SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN, or a CSD number where no PIN is available, and a separate TCS for each consortium, joint venture or sub-contractor party.
Mandatory authorisation letter: a Manufacturer or Distributor Sales Authorization Letter, Letter of Intent or Appointment Letter from the OEM or an authorised distributor, on official letterhead and signed by an authorised representative, confirming the bidder may supply the proposed equipment. A missing or invalid letter renders the bid non-responsive.
Evaluation is 80/20: 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals — at least 51% black ownership, plus 4 points each for 51% black women ownership, 51% black youth ownership, 51% black people with disabilities, and a geographical location in uMgungundlovu District Municipality. The CSD report must be attached as proof and disability claims need a letter from a medical doctor or authorised healthcare professional; without proof the points are not claimed.
Pricing: SBD 3.1 firm prices only, quoted in South African Rand and inclusive of VAT at 15%, delivery, transport, packaging, installation, commissioning, testing, training and manuals. Non-firm prices, including exchange-rate-variable prices, are not considered. A separate fixed-price 3-year service plan is required for the thermoreactor, portable multi-meter, floc tester and two analytical balances, with no additional charges during the contract unless approved by the employer.
Equipment and contract conditions: all equipment must be new and unused with a minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty; equivalent products require technical brochures and datasheets proving compliance with the specification. The successful bidder must furnish a performance security within 30 days of the award notification, and the bid must remain valid for 90 calendar days from the closing date.
