Saqa requires a fully functional podcast and multimedia production studio for its communications and advocacy unit, covering the supply, delivery, installation, configuration and commissioning of audio recording equipment, software, a studio desk and all supporting accessories, cables, mounting hardware and consumables. The studio must support podcasts, interviews, webinars, educational programmes, executive messages and video-enabled content, and the equipment must be mobile enough for use at outside events. This is a request for information only: NO supplier will be appointed, and the detailed specifications and indicative pricing submitted will be used to develop the final RFQ. responses close on 23 october 2026 at 16:00 and must be emailed in pdf format with a completed and signed sbd 4 disclosure.
Purpose of this RFI: no bidder will be appointed; SAQA will use the responses to compile the final RFQ, and bidders consent to SAQA using their information for that purpose.
Closing and submission: 23 October 2026 at 16:00, by email in PDF format only to [email protected] (the cover page also lists [email protected]).
Mandatory returnable form: SBD 4 (Bidder's Disclosure) must be completed and signed; an omitted or unsigned form disqualifies the response, and a bidder on the Register for Tender Defaulters or the List of Restricted Suppliers is automatically excluded.
Pricing and specification: bidders must submit a detailed specification and indicative pricing against SAQA's preliminary specification, not a firm offer.
Site and room constraints: a site assessment must confirm room, power, data, acoustic, lighting, ventilation and equipment-placement requirements; the allocated room is 2,620 mm wide x 2,770 mm long x 2,610 mm high (7.26 m²), and the equipment must be mobile for use outside the room.
Training, support and warranty: on-site practical training for Communications and Advocacy Unit members for 12 months after installation, after-sales support and maintenance for 60 months after installation, and a 3-year on-site warranty.
Handover deliverables: user guides, configuration records, licence and warranty documentation, an asset register with make, model and serial number per item, demonstration recordings, and a signed commissioning and handover report.
