Sealed bids, clearly endorsed with the tender number and description, must be placed in the Tender/Bid box at the Stores and Procurement Offices, 22 Betastraal, Alton, Richards Bay before 12:00 noon on 25 September 2026.

• The bidder's details and return address must appear on the back of the sealed envelope.
• Only tender documents purchased from the City of uMhlathuze are acceptable; proof of payment must be produced when collecting documents.
• Bids received after the closing time, or not placed in the tender box, will not be considered.
• Intention to Award and Cancellation notices will be published on the municipal website.
• Returnable documents include the completed tender document, proof of payment for the tender fee, and any forms specified in the bid documentation (e.g., SBD forms).
• The successful bidder must implement a successful Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme.
• Tenderers not contacted within 120 days after closing may assume their bid was unsuccessful.

Preference point system: Price = 80 points, Equity (B-BBEE) = 20 points.

• Prequalification: Only companies complying with NCCA Registration or equivalent are invited to bid; the service provider must be a member of BCCI.
• Bidders must not be persons in the service of the state, nor have any Director, Manager, Principal, Shareholder or Stakeholder in the service of the state, nor be an advisor or consultant contracted with the municipality or municipal entity.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session and signing the attendance register is mandatory; failure invalidates the bid.
• Bids must be submitted before the closing time and placed in the designated tender box.

Scope: Cleaning including turf management at uMhlathuze South municipal buildings, and supply, install, service of hygiene equipment including all consumables.

• Contract period: 36 months.
• The successful bidder must implement a successful Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme.

Pricing must be submitted in the prescribed format as per the tender document. The non-refundable tender fee is R 649.00.
