funding for the development, production, marketing and distribution of films and the training and development
of filmmakers.
In addition, the NFVF commissions research and produces industry statistics that provide both the public

The South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAS), also known as the Golden Horns, are annual
awards for the film and television industries in the Republic of South Africa and are organised by the National
Film and Video Foundation (NFVF). Through a process of production companies entering their own work to
be judged by a panel of their peers, the awards aim to be free of interference of their custodian, the NFVF,
its executives and Council. It is critical therefore that each judging phase is overseen by an audit firm, right
through to the live show of the awards.
The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is
officially recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences to make submissions on behalf
of the South African Film industry. The NFVF is also responsible for assembling the Selection Committee,
whose main task is to judge all the entries submitted; and select the one feature film that will represent South
Africa at the Oscars.
NFVF is looking for an Auditing firm to assist with the entry and judging phase for SAFTA’s (South African
Film and Television Awards) and the selection process for the Oscars, focusing on but not limited to the

This entails the initial screening of bids/proposal responses received on the closing date of the invitation.
