Failure to submit compulsory documents leads to disqualification.

Bidders must first attain a minimum of 70 points on functionality before financial proposals are considered.

Preference point system applies: 80 points for price and 20 points for Specific Goals, as per the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the municipality's Supply Chain Management Policy. Allocation of points for specific goals is stipulated on MBD 6.1.

No award will be made to a person who is in the service of the state, or to a juristic person where any director, manager, principal shareholder, or stakeholder is in the service of the state, or to an advisor/consultant contracted with the municipality or municipal entity.

The municipality reserves the right to withdraw, re-advertise, or reject any tender, and does not bind itself to accept the lowest tender or the highest-scoring bidder.

The scope is the maintenance and servicing of electrical infrastructure on municipal buildings of Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, for a period of 36 months, as and when required. Up to 2 (two) service providers will be appointed.

Bidders must hold a CIDB grading of 2EB or higher, and must have a valid COIDA letter of good standing or Workmen's Compensation Registration Certificate in electrical works.

Tender documents cost a non-refundable fee of R880.00, payable in cash or by debit/credit card.
