This tender invites bids for professional civil and structural engineering services. The contract will be based on the CIDB professional services contract (third edition, 2009). Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the bid box at the department of public works and infrastructure, no.1 Creamery road, old cpa building, kings park, komani, before 11:00 on 28 september 2026. The 80/20 preference point system applies, as the estimated rand value is r50 million or below. Bidders must be registered on the central supplier database (csd) and be tax compliant. The successful bidder will be required to sign a formal contract. The department reserves the right to negotiate if an offer is not market-related.
Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) prior to award, and provide a CSD number or SARS tax PIN.
At least one company director (as per the Registration certificate/CSD) must be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer or Technologist: Civil/Structural, and a copy of the professional registration certificate must be attached; registration will be verified online through ECSA.
Bidders must submit project references for at least 3 successfully completed Civil and Structural Engineering projects of a similar nature, clearly indicating client name, contract value, contract term, contact person and contact details.
Bids must be submitted on the official forms provided (not re-typed) and must be deposited in the bid box at the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, No.1 Creamery Road, Old CPA Building, Kings Park, Komani, not later than 11:00 on 28 September 2026.
The bidder must complete and sign SBD 6.1 to claim preference points for specific goals; failure will lead to non-awarding of points.
The Form of Offer and Acceptance must show a value or figure; if it has no value or figure, the bidder will be regarded as non-responsive.
Bidders must not be listed on the Register of Tender Defaulters or the List of Restricted Suppliers, and must declare any employment by an organ of state or interest in other related enterprises.
