Submission method: sealed envelope placed in the tender box at Steve Tshwete Municipality, 1st floor, Room B207, Civic Centre, Corner Walter Sisulu and Wanderers Avenue, Middelburg.

Evaluation stages:

1. Functionality: bidders must attain at least 70 points before financial proposals are considered.
2. Preference point system: 80 points for price and 20 points for Specific Goals, as per the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and the municipality's Supply Chain Management Policy. Allocation of Specific Goals points is stipulated on MBD 6.1.

No award will be made to a person who:

• Is not registered on the Central Supplier Database.
• Is in the service of the state.
• Is a natural person of which any director, manager, principal shareholder or stakeholder is in the service of the state.
• Is an advisor or consultant contracted with the municipality or municipal entity.

Scope: Appointment of a panel of maximum three (3) service providers for the monitoring, servicing and maintenance of semi-underground, 6 cubic skip and roll on roll off waste bins.

Contract period: 36 months, as and when required.

The work involves waste bin monitoring, servicing and maintenance within the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality area.
