The contract runs for 6 months, with fieldwork ideally starting in october 2026. Bidders must hold an msc or similar in ecology or botany, demonstrate fynbos expertise, and provide at least one reference letter; the 80/20 preference point system applies.
Closing: 23 October 2026 at 11:00 am; submit by email only to [email protected], PDF format only.
Mandatory returnables: signed SBD 1 (including SBD 4, SBD 6.1 and Bid Submission Certificate), proof of authority (e.g. company resolution), CSD registration proof, pricing (SBD 3.1 or letterhead quotation), MSc or similar tertiary qualification certificate, at least one signed reference letter on referee letterhead, and a detailed CV of the specialist.
Eligibility (go/no-go): fully completed SBD 1 with SBD 4 and 6.1, fully completed pricing schedule, and detailed specifications meeting the scope of work.
Technical minimums: MSc or similar in ecology or botany, demonstrated fynbos vegetation expertise (Cape Peninsula flora strongly preferred), experience with plot-based vegetation survey methods, and own transport for remote fieldwork in Table Mountain National Park.
Preference points: 80/20 system (80 price, 20 specific goals); a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit is required to claim specific-goal points — without it, no specific-goal points are awarded.
Tax compliance: must be tax compliant with a SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number; each consortium/JV/subcontractor party must submit separate proof.
