TRANSNET engineering requires a service provider to design, manufacture, repair, test, calibrate and commission one gas burn oven for its rotating machines business in durban, on a once-off basis. The work is procured as a request for quotation under reference TE/2026/06/2486/7675/RFQ in kwazulu-natal. The most consequential consideration for bidders is that the entire process runs electronically through the TRANSNET digital procurement system: the tender pack itself, including the list of returnable documents, can only be obtained by downloading IT from that portal, and NO hard copies will be issued. Bidders should register on the TRANSNET esupplier portal well ahead of the closing date and time of 30 october 2026 at 16:00 to avoid losing access or missing submission.
Scope: design, manufacture, repair, test, calibrate and commission one gas burn oven for the rotating machines business at Transnet Engineering, Durban, on a once-off contract.
Closing deadline: responses close on 30 October 2026 at 16:00; late or incomplete submissions cannot be accepted.
Submission channel: electronic submission only through the Transnet Digital Procurement System (TDPS) Supplier Submission Portal — no hard copies of documents are issued and no physical submissions are accepted.
Portal registration: bidders must sign in or register on the Transnet eSupplier Portal at https://esupplierportal.transnet.net/portal/ before they can download the pack or submit a response.
Advance registration: registration must be completed well before the closing date and time so that access and submission are not disrupted.
Returnable documents: the list of documents to be returned is contained only in the tender pack, which is obtainable solely by downloading it from TDPS once registered.
Bidder guidance: a registration and user guide for the portal is published at https://transnetetenders.azurewebsites.net.
