Supply and delivery of 10 electronic personal dosimeters (epds) with a desktop/ir reader and data-logging software, plus online training, for the national radioactive waste disposal institute's vaalputs facility in the northern cape. The epds must measure hp(10) and hp(0.07) Across x-ray, beta and gamma radiation within the stated dose, energy-response and accuracy tolerances, and be delivered to vaalputs, roughly 100 km from springbok. Quotes are scored on the 80/20 preference point system (80 price, 20 specific goals) and must reach [email protected] By 29 october 2026 at 11:00. The decisive risk is the phase 1 mandatory pack — two verifiable epd reference letters, a technical data sheet, a valid type testing certificate and directors' ID copies — because any omission disqualifies the quote before price is even considered.
Closing and submission: 29 October 2026 at 11:00, email only to [email protected]; quotes sent elsewhere or received late are not evaluated, and each email is capped at 10MB (multiple emails allowed if all arrive before the deadline).
Mandatory closing pack (any omission disqualifies): two verifiable reference letters from two different previous clients where EPDs were supplied — signed, on client letterhead, with a contact person and details, and not linked to the bidding company — plus a technical data sheet, a valid type testing certificate, and ID copies of owners/directors as reflected on CIPC, CSD or B-BBEE documents.
Evaluation: 80/20 preference point system — 80 points for price and 20 for specific goals (12 points for black ownership, 8 for women ownership), claimed on SBD 6.1 and substantiated with a shareholder certificate or CIPC registration, certified directors' IDs, a certified B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and a CSD report.
Award-stage conditions: tax matters must be in order and the bidder must not appear on National Treasury's Register of Restricted Suppliers or Tender Defaulters Register; the successful bidder must be registered on the CSD (foreign bidders with no local entity excepted).
Pricing: firm prices quoted excluding VAT with VAT as a separate line, against the prescribed table (10 EPDs, 1 desktop reader and software, 1 delivery, 1 training); quote valid 60 working days from closing and a firm delivery date must be stated.
Technical compliance: EPDs must meet Hp(10)/Hp(0.07) measurement, dose range 0 μSv to ≥10 Sv, dose rate to ≥10 Sv/h, the stated X-ray/gamma and beta energy responses and accuracy tolerances, audible alarm at 97 dB(A) at 20 cm, −20°C to +50°C operating range, and IP-65 or IP-67 rating; the desktop/IR reader must have a USB connection and be compatible with Neutrons EPDs of the same model.
Supporting declarations: indicate ISO 9001:2015 certification status, attach a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit if applicable, and complete and return SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 with the quote.
