Operational capability: staff holding valid food handling certificates, uniformed catering personnel, own equipment and transport for safe delivery, proof of public liability insurance, and menus covering vegetarian, halal and allergy requirements.
Pricing and validity: fully VAT-inclusive cost per person for breakfast, lunch and snacks, beverage costs and extras such as setup, delivery and special diets; quotation valid at least 60 days; a full menu proposal priced for four event sizes — 15, 50, 100 and 200 people — with total event cost and cost per person.
Evaluation: 80/20 preference point system — 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE status level (Level 1 = 20 points, Level 2 = 18, Level 3 = 14, Level 4 = 12, Level 5 = 8, Level 6 = 6, Level 7 = 4, Level 8 = 2, non-compliant = 0). No minimum functionality score is stated.
