Provision of laundry services at Injisuthi, Kamberg, Giant's Castle, and Thendele resorts for five years. The resorts aim to maintain a 3-star grading per the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The service provider must handle collection of soiled linen, washing, drying, ironing, and delivery of clean linen. Collection and delivery occur on weekdays between 08:00 and 11:00, as scheduled by the Resort Housekeeper. Clean linen must be returned within 48 hours of collection, in clean laundry bags, with a delivery note. The provider must be capable of processing 1,500 pieces per 24 hours or a minimum of 700 kg of soiled linen within 24 hours. Soiled laundry must be transported in laundry bags provided by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. The provider is liable for any torn or damaged laundry. Washing process must handle typical soiling including body fluids, food, and beverages. Detailed washing procedures include sorting by fabric and colour, pre-washing at 30-40°C, using disinfectant above 60°C, monitoring pH 6-7, and loading washers to 80% capacity. Drying, ironing, and folding must be performed to high standards.

Goods and services must conform to standards in the bidding documents. The supplier must permit inspection of records and premises. Pre-bidding testing is at the bidder's cost. If inspections show non-compliance, the supplier bears the cost and must replace rejected items at their own expense. The purchaser may cancel the contract for breach.

Pricing must be submitted on SBD 3.3 (Pricing Schedule) for each resort: Giants Castle, Kamberg, Thendele, and Injisuthi. Each schedule lists laundry items with unit prices (excl. VAT). VAT at 15% must be added. A summary grand total for all resorts must be provided. Bidders must price for all resorts; failure to do so disqualifies the bid. Delivery charges: Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife will only pay for travel from the registered address to the resort, limited to a return trip of 350 km, using the National Department of Transport's tariff rate. The offer must be valid for 180 calendar days from the closing date.

Bidders must be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) at closing time; non-registration leads to disqualification. Must have a valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD number. Bidders must not be persons in the service of the state, or companies with directors who are. B-BBEE status level verification certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs and QSEs) must be submitted to claim preference points. Foreign suppliers must complete the questionnaire in SBD 1. The service provider must comply with relevant health and safety regulations. The scope of services includes laundry collection, washing, ironing, and delivery, with emphasis on maintaining hygienic standards.

The contract is subject to the General Conditions of Contract (GCC). The supplier warrants goods/services are new and defect-free for 12 months after delivery or 18 months after shipment, whichever is earlier. Payment will be made within 30 days of invoice. Prices cannot vary from the bid unless authorised. Contract amendments require written agreement. Assignment requires prior written consent. Subcontracts must be notified in writing. Delays may incur penalties calculated at the current prime interest rate per day of delay. The purchaser may terminate for default, including failure to deliver, failure to perform, or corrupt/fraudulent practices. Termination may lead to restriction from doing business with the public sector for up to 10 years, with 14 days to respond to a proposed restriction.

This bid is subject to Treasury Regulations 16A under the PFMA, the KZN Supply Chain Management Policy Framework, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife SCM Policy, and other procurement prescripts.
