Closing and submission: quotes close 23 October 2026 at 11:00 and must be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected]; late submissions, incomplete bid documents, non-compliance with the specification, or alterations to the bid document other than the bidder's own details and price lead to disqualification.
Briefing: a non-compulsory briefing is held on 19 October at 11:00 at the Iziko South African Museum, 25 Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town 8001; no site visit applies.
Experience: at least five comparable projects completed in the past five years in exhibition, environmental or large-format architectural graphics for museums, galleries, cultural institutions or visitor attractions, evidenced by a portfolio with non-pixelated photographs, project descriptions, completion dates and client contact details; standard commercial printing such as books, brochures, banners, pamphlets or flyers does not qualify.
Mandatory sample delivery: the bidder's Project Lead or Account Manager must hand-deliver production samples to the Iziko South African National Gallery, Iziko South African Museum and Iziko Groot Constantia within 12 hours of receiving artwork files and attend sample sign-off and installation preparation meetings, at no additional charge.

B-BBEE and specific goals: a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit is required, and the 20 specific-goals points are awarded on black ownership at 50% or more = 20 points, less than 50% = 10 points and 0% = 0 points, supported by the B-BBEE certificate, company registration certificate, identification documents and CSD report; unclaimed points without proof are forfeited.
Pricing: evaluation is 80/20 (80 price, 20 specific goals) on the Total Evaluated Bid Price, using only amounts captured in the pricing table; a full cost schedule on company letterhead including VAT, disbursements, production costs and overtime must cover the complete scope with no exclusions, no variation after award, and the quote must remain valid for 60 days from the closing date.
