• B-BBEE: Submit a B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or Sworn Affidavit (for EMEs/QSEs) to qualify for preference points.
• Central Supplier Database: Registration on the CSD is required.
• Company Registration: Provide your CIPC company registration documents.

• Contract Duration: The successful bidder will sign a written contract (SBD7).
• Warranty: Goods must be new, unused, and free from defects. Warranty is valid for 12 months after delivery or 18 months after shipment, whichever is earlier.
• Payment: Invoices will be paid within 30 days of receipt.
• Performance Security: May be required (bank guarantee or cashier's cheque) within 30 days of award.
• Penalties: Late delivery may result in daily penalty deductions based on the prime interest rate.
• Termination: Contract may be terminated for default, corruption, or fraud.
• Force Majeure: Notified events beyond the supplier's control may excuse delays.
• Dispute Resolution: Attempt amicable resolution first, then mediation, then South African courts.
• Governing Law: South African law applies.

• The department reserves the right to: call for presentations from shortlisted suppliers; accept bids in whole or in part; not make any award; award to more than one bidder; request further information after closing; verify bidder documentation; not accept any bid; amend bid conditions; and remedy incorrect awards.
