Supply and delivery of cameras and related equipment

The closing date is 2026-09-08T12:00:00.000Z. Quotations will be deemed valid for a period of 90 days from the date the RFQ closes, unless otherwise stated.

Tenderers are required to use this Request for Quotation (RFQ) Form when quoting and include VAT per item (where applicable). The quotation must be on the company's letterhead including correct banking details. All quotations received after the closing date and time will not be accepted for consideration. The returnable forms required are SBD 4 and SBD 6.1.

Tenderers are required to duly complete and sign the SBD 4, SBD 6.1 forms, respectively.

Points for this tender will be awarded for: (a) Price (80 points); and (b) Specific Goals (20 points). The specific goals include more than 50% ownership by Black people, Women, or people with disabilities.

The required items are:

1. Bi-ocular Thermal Night Vision, Series: BHS-XR Command body detector size 640x480 pixel with 100mm lens (1 item)
2. SDHC card Batteries (1 item, 4 x sets)
3. Single Lens Reflection Camera (SLR) with a 500mm telephoto lens and x2 converter (1 item)
4. Telephoto lens and x2 converter (1 item)
5. Go Pro type Action Camera with body harness and dashcam mount (20 x sets)
6. TN450 Thermal Imaging Night Vision Binocular (4 items)

All received prices must be firm until the required goods or services are delivered to the specified location. No price adjustment will be accepted, except those that are subject to the rate of exchange.

Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a CSD number or MAAA number. They must also be tax compliant and provide a SARS Tax Status Pin or CSD report. A complete and signed SBD 6.1 is required to claim specific goals.

The applicable preference point system for this tender is the 80/20 preference point system.

No goods or services should be delivered before an official order is received from the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment.

DFFE reserves the right to negotiate prices with the preferred tenderers in line with the legislative requirements.

DFFE reserves the right to request additional information to validate any information submitted by bidders, including preference points claimed.

Points for this tender (even in the case of a tender for income-generating contracts) shall be awarded for: (a) Price; and (b) Specific Goals.
