Scope: Implementation of SAP S/4HANA Migration (Phase 2) at Transnet Engineering Koedoespoort, on an as-and-when-required basis for 30 months.

• Migration strategy: Brownfield (lift and shift) system conversion from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, deployed on private cloud (SAP RISE or equivalent).
• The service provider must apply SAP Activate methodology with a Clean Core approach.
• Deliverables include:
• Project governance and planning, transport concept, stakeholder reporting.
• Technical readiness checks (S/4HANA readiness, Unicode analysis, financial data quality).
• Custom code analysis and remediation for S/4HANA compatibility.
• Sandbox validation and completion of outstanding Phase 1 activities (archiving, Oracle upgrade).
• Target architecture design, sizing, and platform compatibility validation.
• Integration adjustments and testing for interfaces including IPMS, SAP CRM, SAP BW, SAC, Transnet Group systems (GRC, FAS), and third parties (BEST, VISE, Pilog, Master Data Management).
• Data migration with integrity, completeness, and accuracy; support for data clean-up and archiving.
• Roles and authorisations concept for S/4HANA.
• System conversion using SUM/DMO across DEV, QA, PROD.
• Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) preparation, implementation, and cutover plan.
• Comprehensive testing (functional, technical, integration, UAT support).
• Cutover and rollback strategy.
• Change management, end-user/admin training, technical training, documentation and skills transfer.
• Post-go-live hypercare, performance monitoring, continuous improvement.
• Disaster recovery and backup strategy.
