The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) requires suitably qualified and experienced service providers to

submit bids for the provision of auto electrical diagnostic services, strip, assessment, and quotation (strip &

quote), repairs, and maintenance and supply and install, led lighting and emergency vehicle sirens for its

municipal fleet.

The appointed service provider will be responsible for:

4. Contract period

The contract will be valid for a period of 36 months from date of appointment, subject to performance and budget

availability.

5. Minimum requirements

Bidders must demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive electrical services Proven experience with: (provide

proof)

o Light vehicles

o Heavy-duty trucks

o Specialized emergency/fire vehicles

• Qualified and certified auto electricians ( provide proof)

• The service provider must have the capacity and resources to respond to emergency call-outs within

one (1) hour and non-emergency call-outs within four (4) hours during normal working hours. Bidders

must submit a signed letter on their official letterhead confirming their ability to comply with these

response times.

• A letter confirming the bidder’s ability and capacity to provide the required services, supported by at

least two (2) distinct and contactable client references for similar services previously rendered.

The references must include the client’s name, contact person, contact number and a brief description

of the services provided.

• The service provider must have a fully functional auto-electrical workshop capable of accommodating,

accessing, diagnosing and repairing the full range of Garden Route District Municipality vehicles,

including light vehicles, bakkies, trucks, specialised vehicles and large fire-fighting appliances. (Submit a

signed letter on official letter head confirming the ability to comply.) Project manager will inspect

workshop.
