Iziko museums of south africa requires a courier service to collect, package, and deliver copies of its annual report to nine specified institutions across south africa, including national and provincial libraries and parliament. The service provider must use trackable courier services, confirm delivery with named contacts, and provide proof of delivery for every destination. The contract is awarded under the 80/20 preference point system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals based on black ownership, and all quotations must be submitted by email before the closing deadline.
Closing date and time: 23 October 2026 at 11:00. Submissions must be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected]; the bidder is responsible for ensuring complete email receipt by the deadline.
Mandatory returnable documents: CSD report with supplier number, Tax Status Verification Pin with tax registration number, valid tax certificate and/or tax pin, valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, signed RFQ document, detailed pricing structure on company letterhead, and completed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms. Missing any of these makes the quote non-responsive.
CSD registration and tax compliance are mandatory: suppliers not registered on the CSD or with non-compliant tax status will be disqualified.
Evaluation uses the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals based on black ownership (50% or more = 20 points, less than 50% = 10 points, 0% = 0 points). Evidence for specific goals must be submitted with the quotation.
Pricing must be a full cost inclusive of VAT, covering all nine destinations listed in Annexure A, including all delivery charges, fuel surcharges, handling fees, and incidentals. No price variation is allowed after award.
Deliveries must be made to the specific courier addresses in Annexure A, not to Iziko's address. The service provider must use a trackable courier service, provide tracking references, confirm delivery with named contacts, and provide proof of delivery for every destination.
Bidders listed on the Register of Tender Defaulters or List of Restricted Suppliers are automatically disqualified. Any alterations to the bid document other than filling in bidder details and price will disqualify the bidder.

As a Construction contractor in Gauteng, 2026 is shaping up to be a year of renewed focus on regulatory compliance and transformation. The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) grading system remains a critical component of procurement processes, ensuring that contractors are assessed for their financial, technical, and experiential capabilities. Understanding the CIDB Grade 5 requirements is essential for contractors looking to secure tenders and grow their businesses.
In 2026 the Gauteng construction market is being driven by a surge of infrastructure spend and a tightening of compliance checks across all public‑sector contracts. For contractors aiming at Grade 6 work—typically projects valued between R5 million and R25 million—the difference between winning and being disqualified hinges on meeting the exact financial, technical and experiential thresholds set out by the CIDB and supporting legislation. A single missing certificate or an outdated BBBEE verification can nullify a bid before the evaluation panel even opens the file, making rigorous pre‑qualification essential.
