- Equipment must comply with ESKOM generation standard 240-56227573 for air-insulated withdrawable ac metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear rated above 1kv up to and including 52kv for indoor installations. - All switchgear must be fully type-tested in accordance with SANS 62271-200 and other referenced sans/iec standards, with valid type test reports submitted during the tender stage. - Switchgear must be internal arc classified aflr for 1 second, modular in design, with air-insulated busbars for three-phase 50hz systems, and must support behind-closed-door operation. - Service continuity classification must be lsc2b per SANS 62271-200, with segregated compartments (lv, power cable, main busbar, circuit-breaker, busbar earthing, and vt compartments). - Capability to supply generator circuit-breakers rated 10 mva to 100 mva may be required, and all components must be tested to their respective applicable standards. - Manufacturer must provide a complete functional assembly including connections, interconnecting wiring, steelwork, holding-down bolts, guards, labels, documentation, manuals, drawings, and spares. - Compliance with quality management standards iso 9001 and testing laboratory competence iso 17025 is required, and bids close on 21 august 2026 at 10:00.
